Rakvere stadium

Rakvere

Rakvere Stadium was built in 1922 and holds a central place in the sporting history of Lääne-Viru County.
In 2012, Rakvere hosted matches at the UEFA U19 European Championship final tournament, where youth national teams from France, England and Croatia celebrated victories on this historic ground.

Traditionally, Rakvere Stadium has also been an important venue for athletics. One notable highlight is the stadium record in the 100 metres, which is held by Olympic champion and multiple world champion Justin Gatlin.
